even reports where children cause accidental death to themselves and others. Lil Wayne, for instance, nearly lost his life at age twelve by accidentally shooting himself in the chest. Dalge 2 Homicide rates are on the rise and too many innocent people are being harmed.
Wilson states that there are too many guns in the country and it will be impossible to remove them all. However, the main issue is not to try to remove all guns but working to reduce the distribution of them. Why is it that people from lower economical statuses have easy access to militant rifles? If there is a reduced distribution of guns there will be a difference in homicide rates even if Wilson disagrees. Wilson states that having gun serves as self defense. (Wilson 2007) Even though he may seem right but many people always claim self defense when it really isn't. For example, Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman case was one of the biggest we ever seen. defense. Critics argue that enabling gun control laws will not reduce the death rates in America. This however this is not true. On the other hand, as Wilson states, it is also almost impossible to confiscate every gun there is in America. Which seems to be true but it's always fine to give things a try.
