The commonly debated topic of gun control has been around for some time now, with the issue ranging from the second amendment to laws being enforced now days, all the way to the higher up's opinion. As there's an issue towards gun control and ownership, its something the government has seen from 1789 when the decision of the second amendment came into place; and was not passed until later the year of 1791. Due to 4 states that had proposed something very similar to the, now day, second amendment. Virginia Sending in 40 amendments alone regarding the right to bear arms, now being a reason as to why the amendment formed (IIA). As gun control had been a big issue thought the 1700's we still now face the same issues, and many rights
are being passed within the states today. New laws being enforced in Chicago, New York, and Connecticut; on gun control within their states (IIB). As those laws are nothing compared to the second amendment, they are our 'todays' issues we deal with regarding gun control. Now this issue is turning into something bigger then usual lately as we had a presidential election come into play. The ‘higher up's’ commonly see the pros and cons to gun control, due to the fact they are working within these guidelines and enforcing these laws. Running president, Hillary Clinton, has set an astounding $872,222 aside towards gun control, and now president Donald Trump, has $1,408 towards gun control. (IIC) This states that Clinton sees this is a major issue that needs to be taken care of, and Trump for the opposite. With that being stated, there will now be opinions from each side of this topic, starting with the side not apposed to gun control.
