My essay is about why guns should not be taken away in America. A lot of people disagree with the fact that guns are legal, which is understandable because there is so much gun violence in our society. There are many school shootings every year due to bullying and problems at home. There are many examples of why guns should not be banned in America. For instance, self defence. If someone breaks into your house, you should have the choice to defend yourself in a life or death situation. I believe that people who buy guns should go through a mandatory background check in order to be able to buy a gun. There are many people today that have planned shootings and have taken many lives in the process.

    There are so many people on both sides of the issue that it will not ever stop being debated. There are some good points from both sides of the debate. There should be stricter background policies that should be run on people. People should not be allowed to have over 10 rounds for certain types of guns.
