Being enthusiastic was difficult for me. I was the person who didn’t like a lot of attention and was an extrovert with introvert qualities. Talking to people and getting in photos was easy for me to do, but showing excitement was not the same. My time in HOSA and my officer responsibility put me in a situation where I would be regularly greeted with eager HOSA members who showed their passion in their dedication for Roosevelt HOSA. After several events, meetings, and fundraisers it came to me that if I wanted to become successful not just in HOSA, but also in life, that I needed to express my enthusiasm and express it in a way that could lead others to share in the excitement and use that energy …show more content…
When I first started doing my officer duties as treasurer I believed that most of everything would go mostly uncomplicated. However, I learned swiftly that with the amount of members and amount of events planned that almost anything can happen and can offset the schedule for me and the other officers. As a leader, one must be able to adjust and accommodate for the many changes that can happen like what happened when Roosevelt HOSA took responsibility for managing the fall area conference. Deadlines soon were coming up fast and unexpectedly thus forcing the officers to change direction and focus more time and energy towards the conference.
