Halloween short story
A little girl wandered through the child-filled streets in her fairy costume. Her short dirty blonde hair fell on either side of her rosy cheeks which showed the purest of innocence. Just like every other Halloween night her green eyes sparked with excitement.
Her name was Bianca, Halloween is the one thing she looked forward to all year round, seeing the houses decorated, feeling the breeze of fall brushing against her body and the wondrous scent of candy, all these things brought joy to her. Every house she had been to was so generous towards her, she could never be happier. However she came across one particular house, it was old and rusty and had no decoration, no scent of candy and no sight of people. Only by pure curiosity, she skipped her way through the poorly cut lawn and onto the doorstep, she rang the bell as much as her delicate fingers could handle, waiting anxiously for a response. The door slowly began to open, and the light that came with it helped the girl to be able to see her surroundings more clearly. “Hello, little girl,” said the female behind the door “You’re looking for candy huh?” Bianca nodded enthusiastically, flashing the girl with her white set of teeth. “Well, you’re not getting any.”
Bianca felt her eyes well up, but then instead of being upset she felt angry, why would someone be so cruel to her on her favourite holiday? The anger rose as reminisced the smug smile the girl had as she slammed the door onto her face, she felt like she wanted to explode, but then something strange happened, she felt her body boiling like she was made completely out of water, she noticed her legs changing shape, her hair became longer and darker as she became bigger and tougher, she became so big her fairy dress began to tear apart, her nails became sharper and so did her teeth. The anger rose higher and higher till she could no longer take it anymore; she became the creature of the night.
Kat was a normal teen, she hated Halloween, it was an unholy

The year was 1953. It was a cool, crisp twenty-ninth of October. Usually, after their chores and homework were done, Kathy, 8, and her brother Jonathan, 15, along with their friend May, 11, and her cousin Adam, 13, all went to Joe’s Arcade, the local hangout of Leaport, North Carolina. Instead, they all decided to meet at the end of their dead end street, Farrow Avenue, and go for a walk through the woods. They were all bored since the arcade was too crowded and supper wasn’t ready yet. Their town was a small town, so there wasn’t any other places to go besides the woods. Plus, the old, burned O’Leary house was out there.…

As I drive up to the Stone Center, I notice there were people and children already here. When I walk inside the Stone Center, there were Halloween decorates all over the place. The tables were cover with a black cloth, orange Halloween bucket filled with crayon for the children, and Halloween coloring books on the tables. Don't get me start on the food. The smell of the delicious food reminds me of my mother homecooked meal and the cupcakes look beautiful with orange frosting and colorful, Halloween sprinkler on top of it. She'd called her "The Prize."…

“Maycomb was an old town, but it was a tired old town when I first knew it. In rainy weather the streets turned to red slop; grass grew on the sidewalks, the courthouse sagged in the square.” This environment as Scout Finch accurately describes is not the best or conducive place for young children, loud noises, and games. In the same way as the children, the adults of the novel played games that came from their imaginations, and they themselves are the ones who provided the fear for everyone. As most children do Jem, Scout, and their newly-found friend Dill find amusements to make the days pass by with excitement. When they first met Dill at the beginning, the day’s play is in the backyard. The implication is that it becomes routine for them to play and that each day brings a different experience. When Dill joins them in their daily adventures, they begin to create more elaborate activities. Many days they spent improving the treehouse, and acting out parts of plays by Oliver Victor Appleton, and Edgar Rice Burroughs. There games of Tom Swift the Rover Boys, and The Ghost are the sources of their pleasures for hours and days upon end. Once these games seem rot and overplayed they decide to make Boo Radley come out. Thus the “Boo Radley”, plays begin. These plays are simply for amusement in the end, they teach Jem, Scout, and Dill lessons about respect, courage, and understanding. The “Boo”, games begin with a simple dare that Jem has to carry out in order to gain respect from his sister and friend. Scout and Jem both learn about courage through the first Boo game they invented by testing their levels of fear.…

It was a chilly fall night. I remember walking into the kitchen as I picked up the knife walking toward the pumpkin to cook the seeds inside. I put the knife against the pumpkin, and it started to glow a bright orange, it was that dang pumpkin. I pushed down on the knife to slice into it, but that was the worst mistake ever. I tried pushing harder to cut but then all of a sudden, the knife was getting harder to push away from me. That pumpkin was pushing the blade toward my stomach, soon I came to realize this was going to be my last pumpkin carving ever. I thought it was going to be “just a desert” it was something bigger, much scarier than that… The blade slashed through my skin like a hunter gutting a deer! I let out a loud cry and the glow…

After everything that happened today from schoolwork to chores, Belle was feeling weary, and just as she was about to fall into a deep sleep, she hears a whisper in her ears. Startled, she turns around and sees Agenor standing at her bed, with a twinkle in his eye. Smiling, he said “Tonight’s the night, Belle! I have a plan, and it ought to work!”. Belle’s face lights up as she jumps out of her uncomfy bed and puts on her brown leather dress shoes. Belle and Agenor slowly sneak down stairs making sure not to make even the slightest sound.
