Hamlet Hangout Analysis
Personally, the hangout went very well. Taking a class online takes away from having conversations with your peers, but this effectively fixed that issue. Everyone got a chance to speak and listen to the ideas of others and it was very eye-opening hearing opinions from people around Ottawa. Hearing others speak opened up my mind and gave me a whole new insight on Hamlet. One thing that I did find challenging was that this was the first time I got to meet my classmates and it was very nerve-wracking, it made use words like “um” and “yeah,” and talk a bit fast. Although, after 20 minutes of talking I got to open up and use these words less. To improve in the future, I think other students and myself should speak a bit slower and with more emotion,

    Hamlet supports a large array of themes, but I feel that the most prominent theme, by far, must be that of Appearance vs Reality. Shakespeare’s work, very much open to interpretation of the individual reader, makes the question of the central theme one that proves difficult to choose but simple to support no matter the decision.
