I will give a brief paraphrasing on his speech. Hamlet starts off with the question; to live or to die? The heartache, the struggles, and cruel fortune being thrown at people can end when you die. The struggling can possibly end when you die. But that’s the thing! You can possibly be able to overcome everything, but no one knows if that really happens. Everyone can hate the unfairness of life like unjust rulers, getting old and weak, unwanted love, and working just to survive. People struggle, but no one is willing to end their own life since they are cowards. Hamlet wants to kill himself, but is scared of what will become of him. He is tired of living. He just doesn’t know if the suffering will end just because he has taken his life. He is overthinking this decision, so that’s why he hasn’t done it yet.
