Entrepreneurial Process The entrepreneurial process is a “set of stages and events that follow one another” (Nassif, Ghobril, & da Silva, 2010). The entrepreneur is the practitioner which owns or manages their a business at their own risk (Brixy, Sternberg, & Stuber, 2012) and possesses traits such as creativity, risk taking and change agents. The entrepreneur must also be familiar with the four steps of the entrepreneur process and has the ability to utilize this process effectively and efficiently. This is currently being evidenced in the American health care environment. The move to pay-for-performance this in effect increasing the competition within the industry in both reimbursement and quality while requiring that costs be contained due to decreased reimbursements while caring for sicker patients. With this increase in competition and the need for cost containment, the market opens for entrepreneurs who are willing and able to provide quality improvement within an organization, marketing for health care organizations and providers. As with all cases in which quality takes an increased role in industry increased regulation becomes a necessity and with this increased regulation one will see more opportunities to help and ensure that organizations are able to meet the new needs of regulations. New technologies to assist with documentation and reporting will be needed and opportunities to develop new technologies to assist with diagnosing will be prime opportunities for a successful
