This quote discusses the the immortality of thoughts and ideas. Unlike most tangible objects in our world, which will slowly degrade over time, people's
thoughts and ideas can be passed from one generation to the next. Thus thoughts and ideas are more powerful and long lived than the natural environment.
I have to agree with this thought and find it somewhat uplifting and hopeful. It reminds us that even though we die eventually we will live on thur our thoughts and ideas that we passed on and shared with others. The only problem I have with it is that it only says our thoughts are more powerful because they last longer. I believe that our thoughts also have power in and of themselves because of what we can do with them.
