Retrieved 5 February 2010 according to Wikipedia, .Jez Diamond, the actor on Waterloo Road, who's is really known as is Alex Walkinshaw was born on 5th October 1974 and is an English actor best known for playing the role of Sergeant Dale "Smithy" Smith in ITV's long running police procedural series, The Bill, but also comes onto Waterloo Road.
His first TV appearance was at the age of 12 as an extra in Grange Hill for a year. From 1992 to 1993 he appeared in the sitcom Side by Side.
In between acting jobs in the 1990s, he also worked as a labourer, office fitter and also at a snooker hall in Barking.
During his time on The Bill as a PC, Alex met his wife Sarah when she worked as a make-up artist on the show. They married on 20 June 2009 after several years together at the Queen's House in Greenwich. They live in Penarth, South Wales with their two children, Flora and Jack.

P (Physical) – Jez Diamond seems to have met his Physical Needs as he has a health body and is healthy on the inside. He is a fitness trainer so he helps others to become healthy but he is healthy himself with no problems at all. He has food and water.

I (Intellectual) – He has met his Intellectual Needs as he is a fitness trainer himself and trains students to become healthy and fit. This keeps him mentally fit.
E (Emotional) – He is emotionally disturbed because he had an affair with Sian, his wife, but he still shares love with both his kids Zack and Madeline. Jez then dumps his wife and now she is his ex-wife which he doesn’t care about at all anymore. So I don’t think he has met his Emotional Needs. He has love and belonging.
S (Social) – Jez is very good at socialising with his students and gets along easier with other staff members around the school, he seems to have met his social needs and needs nothing to improve on.
