Unfair treatment between Maori citizens and British citizens (Pakeha) indicates discrimination because they do not receive the same services and privileges on medical aspects.

Education is one of the most essential key to accomplish our dreams in life because it gives opportunities for people who have different experiences, and it enhances the knowledge. The wide range of knowledge learned through education prepares a person to solve difficulties, communicate to other people and be promoted to a higher position. The Lack of education of an individual limits the chances of obtaining a good job and a better future. Some factors that causes Maori health problems are genetic or lifestyle, social, cultural and economic reasons, and their outcome is intervened through related factors. For example, an individual’s low salary may cut down their budget to buy nutritious foods such as vegetables and fruits which makes them vulnerable to infections, diabetes and heart illnesses due to unhealthy diet they have.
