people communicate to socialise and build relationships and interact with people. you can show good communication by good eye contact,checking hearing aids are on. when people are listening make sure that they are listening make sure that they re concentrating and that there is no background noise.

Explain how people from different backgrounds may interpret communication methods in different ways and how this could affect relationships in your work setting?

people from different places say things differently and may not understand what you mean for instance a person suffering from dementia can hear words in a muddled way if they where from a different culture and there is a language barrier as well then they would find hard to form relationships with carers and other serviceusers.

if someone was deff you would take them to get there ears looked at same goes if its there eyes. someone may need speech therapy i would report this to the manager who would then make arrangements with a speech therapist.

confidentiality means keeping information private. the difference is that if someone told you something that may cause concern you would have to explain to the person that you would have to tell somebody wise for there own safety. if they told you something that was private but didn't concern a health problem the you would keep it to yourself if they asked you to.
