Heart Disease
Cardiovascular disease is a group of things at are all combined together and are affected by this terrible disease. The things that get affected that involve the human heart are arteries, veins, blood vessels, and capillaries. Heart disease causes many different kinds of problems that are related to the process known as atherosclerosis. The condition happens to a person when a good size amount of plaque has built up in their arteries. The results from this occurring narrows the room inside of our arteries and makes the blood flow a lot harder to travel through our arteries. A blood clot can even form which causes the flow of blood to stop and causes a person to have a heart attack or even a stroke. A heart attack happens when the blood flow is blocked by a blood clot. It slows down the blood flow or cuts it off entirely to the human heart. Many people are able to recover from their first heart attack but the second one can be life threatening. People after their first heart attack change their ways and bad habits. They become a lot more concerned of this ever happening to them again. They return to work after their heart attack and end up living many more years of a productive life. They will be on heart medication for the rest of their life so this prevents anything like this from happening to them again. An ischemic stroke is the most common kind of stroke that a person may end up having when they have cardiac problems. This kind of stroke happens when blood vessels that feed the brain end up getting blocked from a blood clot. When this gets cut off completely the cells to the brain will die because there is no blood flow going to the brain at all for them to live. When this happens to a person the outcome leaves them being unable to talk or walk like they use to before the stroke. The really good news with some of this frightening things happening when a person has a stroke is that all of their cells may not have been damaged just temporarily out of working

Coronary artery disease is one of the most prominent forms of heart disease. It occurs when the coronary arteries that supply the heart blood become narrowed, and eventually occluded. This narrowing typically takes place because of plaque build up due to cholesterol and other fatty substances being ingested, also called atherosclerosis. This thickening of the artery wall can take many years, eventually completely inhibiting blood flow. Because the blood flow has stopped, little oxygen gets to the heart, and the myocardial cells therefore die. This is when a heart attack ensues, also called a myocardial infarction.…

Evidence of Greek or Roman influence can be found in almost every culture or country that has ever existed. In particular, the values and practices of Greek and Roman citizenship and politics, more than any other cultures, influences American policies today in terms of values, government, and self-image.…

Dilated cardiomyopathy is a serious condition in which the heart muscle becomes weakened and loses strength to pump blood throughout the body. In an attempt to make up for the loss of blood supply, greater amounts of blood fill the hearts lower chambers. The ventricles expand and, in time, the heart muscle stretches out of shape, or dilates, and becomes even weaker. Most individuals with cardiomyopathy eventually develop heart failure, a condition in which the ventricles are not able to pump enough blood to meet the body's needs for oxygen and nutrients.…

Coronary heart disease (CHD), also called coronary artery disease, is a condition in which plaque builds up inside the coronary arteries. These arteries supply oxygen-rich blood to your heart muscle. This plaque is made up of fat, cholesterol, calcium, and other substances found in the blood. When plaque builds up in the arteries, the condition is called atherosclerosis, the buildup of plaque occurs over many years. Over time, the plaque hardens which causes your coronary arteries to narrow, which limits the amount of oxygen and blood your muscles are supposed to get to function properly. Coronary Artery Disease is the leading cause of death in the United States because of the people’s not so healthy diet, lack of exercise, and tendency to smoke, which are the leading causes of Coronary artery disease. The symptoms might be very noticeable, or you might not experience anything when having CHD, one of the main symptoms is Angina which causes major chest pain or at least some discomfort or abnormal feeling on your chest. Also, you may feel like your chest is closing up and it will become harder for you to breathe, also may experience pain on your neck, lower back, and extremities, oh and not less important, fatigue and weakness are also symptoms. For treatment, your doctor will give you specific medications based on how severe your case is, eating habits will need to change, start exercising, and if a smoker, to quit smoking. Oh, very important to know, DO NOT under any circumstances, stop your medication, it will come back and probably worse than before it was treated. In very extreme cases, an angioplasty and stent placement, coronary artery bypass surgery, or a minimally invasive heart surgery will be needed in order to survive. Although everyone is different, early detection of CHD generally results in a better outcome. But after treatment, it’s not all gone; you might be stuck with some long-term effects. One of them being…
