People need to balance their work and life as without WLB, people get distressed. They can neither focus on work nor on family which leads to low productivity at work and tension at home.
Several researchers have pointed out that the effect of work-life balance on employees’ attitudes and behaviors is still unclear and have called for more in-depth research studies to identify what types of performance are related with work-life balance. Also, the related study has not been found regarding the INGOs. Thus, to address these problems this research had been conducted.

This research work can be useful for the organization to know the WLB of its employees and to make favorable policies. Such favorable policies and environment provided to employees can enhance the organizational productivity as well as reduce employees’ distress and improve their WLB.
This study is helpful to Heifer International Nepal itself as it helps to know the actual WLB situation of their employees. The employers would find out the factors affecting their employees to balance their work and life and helps to make favorable policies. This is beneficial for its overall performance. The generation of favorable policies could reduce the employees’ turnover rate as well as help the employees to improve their behavior at work.
The findings of this research study would act as guidelines for the organization to understand the needs of its employees and help the organization to focus on the factors that affect the WLB of its employees. 1.7 Limitation of the Study
The current study focused on the broader concept of work- life balance as an individual has to deal with numbers of roles at a time with their complex relationships with neighbors, friends and community. To have a more comprehensive understanding of the result of work-life balance, future research should include other outcome variables such as job satisfaction, employees’ commitment, and productivity. The research focused on the particular organization thus the outcome may not be useful to other organization. The validity of research is solely based on the responses of the responses.
The information provided by the respondents is subjective and may not be reliable. The main limitation is the sample size of the study. The sample size is comparatively less which may lead to unreliable outcome. The sample size doesn’t cover the entire employees of Nepal. It only covers the employees from the particular INGO situated at Hattiban, Lalitpur branch which may not be generalizable. The mechanism is limited to the quantitative method which may affect the findings of the study.
