communicate the problems with others. Anne Frank is a hero because without her being brave enough to keep a diary of what was happening there would still be a lot of unclear issues that these people faced. (Anne Frank, Historynet). Jackie Robinson should also be in the Hero Hall of Fame because he was told that because he was colored he wouldn't be able to play professional baseball and he could only play Negro league, but these intimidating words didn't stop him from breaking the color barrier. Jackie won the National League Rookie of the Year award his first season, and lead the Dodgers to the National League championship. In 1949, he won MVP, and he got into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1962. Besides being really talented, he got a ton of insults and threats because of his race. Robinson had a lot of pride in order to handle the verbal abuse, and he inspired other African Americans to try to be equal. He helped achieve the Civil Rights Movement. Robinson is a hero because he showed everyone that even though you are a certain race you can do it. He pushed to be allowed to play with equal talent and if he hadn't tried to hard get this it might not be the same today. (Jackie Robinson, history.) Helen Keller was born almost normal, but a small illness she had as a child completely changed her life.
Helen Keller overcame being blind and deaf. She got really sick as a kid and became blind mute and deaf. Her parents were really upset because since she had no way to communicate with the world she was really angry all the time. Her parents got her a teacher. Helen didn't want to be with this teacher. After a while working together Helen and her teacher found a way to communicate by doing hand signs in the palm of each other's hands. Helen did manage to find a way to communicate but she still faced a lot of challenges. She was extremely sick a lot, which was the reason for losing some of her abilities. What couldn't be seen on the outside, was helen was keeping all this stress and anger built up inside of her so she was constantly throwing a fit. Helen struggled a lot through her life. Although she wasn't able to talk see or hear, she didn't give up and she pushed through and she found a way to communicate with the world. (Helen Keller,
perkins.)
