The story of Helios is about a young Greek god that symbolized the sun. Helios is frequently represented as a strong man, and a handsome man. He drove a chariot across the sky which was led by two horses that breathe fire. These horses were known to burn anyone who tried to take possession of the chariot. He would drive it across the earth every day. If he got too close to the earth he would burn the people’s houses. Also if he got to close to the sky the earth would get very cold. One time Helios’s son wanted to try to drive the chariot of the sun. His name was Phaethon. Phaethon drove the chariot and got too close to the earth and set the earth on fire.
