Hello Pastor Manix Analysis
Hello Pastor Manix,
Your story is a good example of what if it'll turned out after a person yield to the call despite difficulties, or challenges. Maybe it’s really more appropriate to coined difficulties and problems, as challenges, because it will train our hearts and minds to see the problem as a challenge and no challenge is difficult with our God. I was reminded when by one quote by TD Jakes "for every vision, there is provision". And when God gives us a vision, eventually He'll also provide for the vision to be fulfilled. And it’s important for us to trust and have faith in God. This is what, I was reminded when I read your post pastor, I am convinced that I lack on this at times, I am even judging Gods judgment if he wants me to do something.

One of my favorite quotes from Billy Graham is, “Courage is contagious. When a brave man takes a stand, the spines of others are often stiffened.” Like I said before, I will not have his opportunities, but because of him I am taking advantage of the ones given to me. He showed me the life I want, especially the life I want with God.…

Sometimes we think that our plans must lead down a better road, or that God must not love us enough to protect us from this pain we feel, but God actually uses the painful experiences to further develop our character. Vivian Thomas could have given up when it became too discouraging, but instead he persevered and became an inspiration to many people. During times that are hard, God teaches us more about life, ourselves, and most importantly, about Him. Sometimes it is even necessary to go through a difficult time before we are able to realize the ways in which we need to grow and…

In fourth grade my cousin Trevor committed suicide and I got tested for Dyslexia. Although both were very hard I survived and kept moving forward. I continued working hard and proving to myself that I was going to get through anything and everything, I depended on God and he helped me succeed. My freshman year my parents separated and my heart broke. I hurt more than ever before and was asking God why he was doing this to my family and I. My brother and I went back and forth for month after months. I pretended I was alright and was continuing to be strong for my brother. My sophomore year in High School they got back together and I was happy, but that is when I started to feel depressed. I…

    Ordinary Grace Challenges

    • 8 Pages

Every day when we wake up, we are confronted with challenges. Some of the challenges are ones that we face every day, whereas some days we face brand new ones. Whether the challenge is simply getting out of bed and getting ready or dealing with a family emergency, we all face challenges each and every day. It is how we respond to these challenges that make us who we are. We can shy away from challenges and pretend they do not exist, or we can attack them through faith knowing we are not fighting on our own.…

Trusting in God does not exempt us from hardship, struggle, and sickness. In fact, we should not be surprised by hardship (1 Peter 4:12). Having faith is not the ability to control the outcome of our lives, but rather the attitude to submit to whatever God brings our…

Perhaps it would be better to preface this short narrative with my background: I was raised being told I was Catholic, but not practicing, and craving home, but not knowing what ‘home’ meant since my family had moved from place to place my entire life. After becoming Christian, my faith shot up like a thirsty seed that had just had its first taste of water. During that growth spurt, however, my family also moved to Japan. Since there are not many churches in Japan, not many people who know Christ (compared to Jacksonville, at least), and my family was slowly becoming convinced that I’d gone bat-shit crazy, I knowingly made the decision to leave this grace that I’d just experienced to chase after safety. I didn’t want to risk becoming stranded in a strange country at 16. That being said, I made some cowardly decisions all while knowing that I was running from an amazing God. The funny thing about grace, though, is that it will find us where we least expect it. As Davis said in Psalm 139:…

Only mere hours ago we were leading separate lives, and now we were to come together and choose a leader. The men and women around the table were each feeling the same sense of dread. The words “Please, don’t pick me!” were figuratively written on a bubble above everyone’s head. As I gazed upon this collection of strangers, I began to feel empathetic. Each of us knew the weight of this responsibility, yet none of us wanted to take it. Suddenly, as if someone else took control of my voice, I said confidently, “I’ll do it.” It was at that moment that God gave me the confidence to overcome my…

Have you ever felt God call you to do something, and yet brush it aside as though it was meant for someone else? I became enchanted with American Sign Language in high school, when I befriended a Deaf group of students. I now realize I was fascinated by the language because, unbeknownst to me at that time, I am a visual and kinesthetic learner. Any time I saw Deaf people or Sign Language Interpreters in the community, I couldn't help myself but to watch them. By the time I was a mother of two I knew I wanted to be fluent in the language, although finding the time seemed out of the question. After four children and seventeen years of marriage the door to my future career was opened. My marriage had ended and I was responsible for providing a financially stable home for my children.…

I have faced trials and tribulations but I would like to think that I am stronger because of them. God blessed us with the gift of life and oversaw each moment of our past, including all the pain, hardship, and struggle. He plans to use our experience in a unique way because no one has our voice and no one else shares our story. This idea is particularly prevalent in Hebrews 12. The word teaches us that as a sign of His love, He disciplines us. He takes us through hardship to build certain characteristics that could not be formed from other circumstances. It would be so much easier to harbor resentment towards people that have hurt me but I have chosen to learn from my experiences and grow as a person. As author Charles R. Swindoll once said,…

My (Adele’s) spiritual journey, a time to seek the Lord, a time to heal, and a time to experience oneness with Christ Jesus. I have mournfully and spiritually died and been revitalized—through the blood of Jesus. For this, I thank to the Lord. My journey has been spiritually awakening and transforming. Understanding the meaning of Christianity did not develop overnight. Unfortunately, I really thought being born again meant all my life struggles would disappear—immediately. Regrettably, during each of my worldly life events I was angry with God. And during my most challenging life events I would seek advised from my pastor. I remember asking my pastor, “Why am I going through this?” and he said “Try asking what the Lord wants you to learn?”. I must have asked the same question a million times and…

    My Personal Faith

My faith has enabled me to handle life challenges from my past and present. Some of these challenges have been series of events that I could hardly believe were happening, while others came with great joy. At five years old, my younger brother, Chandler, died unexpectedly. This was a tough challenge for my whole family to face. This challenge could have easily torn my family apart but together, as a team with God, we worked hard at picking up the pieces and moving forward even when there were days that seemed to be impossible. In the fifth grade, I was diagnosed with a common learning disability known as Attention Deficit Disorder. I am faced with this challenge on a daily basis. I have learned to cope with this disorder over the years by making prayer and patience priorities in helping me conquer this challenge. This challenge was especially difficult during my SAT and ACT tests. Certain scores on these tests were required to get into college and play NCAA football. The stress and pressure of taking these tests felt unbearable at times. While studying and before and during each test, I would remind myself that, through God, all things are possible. With God by my side, I was able to achieve the scores needed to reach my college and athletic goals.…

Make A Choice It S Time

The choice is simple and the choice is yours. Stop worrying about what people think of you and what they are doing, be your own person, a leader not a follower. Don’t be deceived by the ways of this world and buy into the lies that people say to get you to either get you off of your walk with Christ or stop you from beginning a relationship with the Lord all together. For example, some of those lies are “being a Christian is too hard” or “I can’t be saved and have fun.” Not true. Saying yes to the Lord is one of the greatest decisions one can make in their life. when you say yes to the Lord’s will there will be all kinds of attacks that will come to get you to rethink that new found decision and yes it can be challenging, but so are a lot of other circumstances we face in life. Deciding to get a college degree is challenging, starting your own business is challenging, learning to fly a plane is challenging, but you fight and work hard for that dream to become reality. So why is it so hard for people to fight and press on when it comes to the things of God? The same way you apply yourself to accomplish your goals you can apply that same faith and…
