Personal Narrative: Adele's Spiritual Journey

My (Adele’s) spiritual journey, a time to seek the Lord, a time to heal, and a time to experience oneness with Christ Jesus. I have mournfully and spiritually died and been revitalized—through the blood of Jesus. For this, I thank to the Lord. My journey has been spiritually awakening and transforming. Understanding the meaning of Christianity did not develop overnight. Unfortunately, I really thought being born again meant all my life struggles would disappear—immediately. Regrettably, during each of my worldly life events I was angry with God. And during my most challenging life events I would seek advised from my pastor. I remember asking my pastor, “Why am I going through this?” and he said “Try asking what the Lord wants you to learn?”. I must have asked the same question a million times and
The noise in your head, of the world, the noise of whatever life event you are experiencing right now—just turn it off. Pray, be still, be calm, and be silent. Just for a moment stop the worldly race, the worldly competition of self-centeredness, and allow for the Lord to lead your spirit—He will remove your worldly misfortunes. Take time to focus on unity with One—learn to develop oneness with the Lord Jesus Christ. According to Thelma Wells (Moore, et al., 2003), you must have unity with Him first to have unity with others, “We need to understand the unity of the Spirit. Ephesians 4:4-5 says, ‘There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called—one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all” (p. 138). I pray that each individual classmate that takes time to read my post—hears Him today! Remember to be still, calm, and at peace—turn off the worldly noise and surrender every care to the Lord.
