Henry Wilson Monologue
As I rushed through the village I got strange looks, and I heard someone say, Is she the one prince Jarvis brought in yesterday? So that was his name. Jarvis. It was a nice-enough name, but that didn’t make me like him anymore.
As I ran, I heard my footsteps echo through the streets. I had no idea where I was going, only that I needed to get far, far, far away from the castle. I remember his last-minute parting words- barely a whisper- “I will give you a one day head start, and then I will find you.” I remember the echo as I bolted down the stairs, running as fast as I could.
After running for a while longer, I saw the gates that lead into the forest. At last, I could run to the forest, and be free again! This thought kept me going as I ran to the forest. When I

He would most likely search the nearest villages anyway. Besides, there was no way he wouldn't recognize my face. When I looked in the lake, I noticed that my freckles stood out a lot and that my sea-green eyes had turned purple. I mean, who had purple eyes?
Instead, I decided to smudge dirt on my face so my dark eyes wouldn't stand out as much. I wish I had coffee. It would have worked better.
I headed back to my tree. Along the way, I noticed that many of the animals showed interest towards me. It had to be the Ent thing because usually, animals ran at the sight of people. Maybe I would turn into snow white and sing with the birds. Who was I kidding I would scare them away.
I reached my tree and walked in. I curled up on the floor and fell asleep. I awoke, not more than a few hours later, to the sound of breaking twigs, and crunching leaves. Without thinking, I walked out of my tree. A few feet past my tree, there was a party of men searching the forest.
"There has to be one out somewhere here, there must be!" one of them called
What were they talking about? "one?" one what?
"Those cursed creatures, sell for a lot they do, hope we find one, sales tomorrow," replied

Slowly he backed away from the tree careful not to snag his jeans on the willow's thorns. Free at last he sprinted to the edge of the forest, tripping thru random snow drifts exertion bringing back the feeling to his feet and toes. I looked around and observed the ground beneath my feet. The atmosphere crawled with a moisture that slapped my clothes with water from the trees above. When my confusion came to an end, I decided to go for a hike. Honestly, I hoped to find the woman from the previous night, so that she could give the questions I was dying to rid myself of, an answer. Trying to find a woman in an intense forest felt like trying to find the right receipt in a purse consisting of countless useless items. I never found the woman, but I'd found something that was far worse. A human. It sounds bizarre to say that when a man stepped within 1,000 feet of me I could instantaneously feel a hunger for new skin, and a crucial need to run. Running seemed to be a breeze:…

It was a typical day in Ghana when my mother asked me to go and milk the cow at our farm that was just before the woods. I had always been an exploratory person and this time I wanted to go and discover the woods. I had always been told to stay away from the woods by family and friends for a very long time, and could not wait any longer. I walked into the woods as quietly as I could trying very hard to avoid to stepping on the crispy leaves, as I make a prickly noise. Suddenly,…

I look to my left and see the sun slowing coming over the horizon. I watch as it fades from a dark purple to a dull red and I realize that soon it will be blazing yellow. It alone will be my guide as I venture solemnly into the woods. The forest is bustling with life as I walk through the labyrinth of trees skyscraper high. I walk across the dense…

The forest seems quiet now, too quiet. Every infrequent crackle of a leaf beneath me, or sound of a tree branch being snapped in half behind me has me alert at attention as if I were a Rottweiler spotting an unknown enemy approaching my premises. Then I went to say goodbye the bamboo forest .Behind the park my tree was in was a small bamboo forest I had deceived one day trying to escape for a relentless rain storm. I had never seen bamboo in real life before and didn’t even know it grew in Florida.it was circle of huge bamboo trees and the center was a spot big enough to lie down a blanket and just watch the leaves fall around me. It was unlike anything I had experienced before. Sadly this would be the last time for a while. I took a small stick off the floor of the forest to remember. I would never forget that place. It was a sine to me that their where still things to be discovered.…

Walking in the woods on a hot summer day and the things I see around here are just amazing. I have came across many things I have heard of and many things that I never knew existed. I a lot of trees, animals, plants, and many other things but let me start off by talking about the trees. They are very large I can tell you that much and the braches on them are so thick and heavy, like when I was walking one broke off and just missed us it fell and all you heard was thump and we felt the ground shake it was neat but scary we jumped like ten feet. Then after a moment we all just started laughing. There were so many other things too it was like a real adventure traveling into these woods.…

I looked up at the black sky. I hadn't intended to be out this late. The sun had set, and the empty road ahead had no streetlights. I knew I was in for a dark journey home. I had decided that by traveling through the forest would be the quickest way home. Minutes passed, yet it seemed like hours and days. The farther I traveled into the forest, the darker it seemed to get. It was very hard to even take a breath due to the stifling air. The only sound familiar to me was the quickening beat of my own heart, which felt as though it was about to come through my chest. I began to whistle to take my mind off the eerie noises I was hearing. In this kind of darkness I was in, it was hard for me to believe that I could be seeing these long finger shaped shadows that stretched out to me. I had this gut feeling as though something was following me, but I assured myself that I was the only one in the forest. At least I had hoped that I was.…

“Chirp Chirp Chirp !” “Chirp Chirp Chirp !” I woke up in the middle of a vast jungle or forest, surrounded by tall trees, and strange flowers that I have never seen in my entire life.. I couldn’t understand where was I or what was I doing here, all I knew was I had to get out of here straight away. As I was about to get up a bird flew right before almost knocking me down, I caught a glimpse of the bird before it left, but it wasn’t like any creature I’ve seen before. I quickly got up and tried to find the way out of this absurd place, to my luck there was a faint path on the floor. I began to follow the path for a while hoping it would lead me to any other place besides this, or even an exit out of this…

Today I asked my dad if he would take a drive with me and to trust me. He agreed but had that look in his face as if I was about to do something bad. We got in the car and I gave him my phone he looked at me puzzled and asked what’s going on. All I said to do was keep driving. As we drove off I realized that the streets we were passing were new and unknown by me or my dad. I looked out my window and saw a dense tree line I asked to stop and said to my dad to be at this exact spot in three hours. He said to be careful and drove off. I picked up a rock and placed it in between a tree that seemed to be struck by lightning straight down the middle. I did this so I could tell where the meeting spot would be when I returned. This was the only time I have ever walked into a forest by myself without a way to communicate with the outside world. My first thought was fear then it was adventure. What would I find inside this brand new world. My watch said that it was 1 o’clock in the afternoon I set my watch for an hour an half so I could give myself enough time to walk back in time. As I took my first step into the forest I felt the crunch of a branch as my shoe broke it into two.…
