¨A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.¨ As said by Christopher Reeve, a hero doesn't have to have super powers, they can be a ordinary person with a strong will to persevere and succeed. Throughout the challenges that may crumble others, a person must stay persistent and brave, refusing to sway in the wind. A hero perseveres when things get rough, shows courage in the face of danger, and do not neglect the needs of others through their actions. Heroes are reluctant to quitting and persist through the challenges weighing them down. For example, as said by Frederick Douglass, throughout his escape from slavery, he ¨remained firm and according to my resolution… I left my chains.¨(SB 71) Douglass persevered through his challenges and didn't buckle under the pressure and difficulty.
