Teresa: Face validity is really just what it sounds like. The degree to which something appears effective in the way that it stated in the experiment.

Face validity seems somewhat unique in terms of validity, since it is basically the concept that whatever a certain test, assessment, or research appears to measure is what it actually measures (Wienclaw, 2015). This may not always be the best form of validity though, since it seems to rely heavily on intuitive knowledge.
