followed. Three types of Projects the (HEP) program have focused on have been

The (HEP) program is a grant funded that has been overseen by the University of New Mexico. The grant funding is provided by the U.S. Department of Education, Migrant Education programs. The program needs to follow close guidelines to be able to utilize the funding. Maintaining the process and procedures can be a critical process to have the opportunity to have the funding to provide positive outcome results.
Providing services that our community members can take advantage of can be very beneficial.
Especially for small rural communities that not have many opportunities.
The (HEP) program also provides many resources, for example they provide stipends for their enrolled students. The stipends are to be used for the following to purchase textbooks, supplies, transportation assistance, and food allowances, childcare (availability funding) and tutoring services. All these resources can be very helpful for students that may be struggling. This can be a boost to get them back on track to be able to procure their educational aspirations.
In closing, I would like to thank you for your time and would encourage you to review our resources. We have enough funding to give more students an opportunity to thrive in their future aspirations. If it means being able to complete and receiving their GED or furthering their education by getting into a vocational school and or even a university. The High School Equivalency Program has opened their doors to the community for a second chance in making a difference in their educational values. Our program is committed to our community. We as a small rural community have the aspirations of making successful community
members.
