Group: HiGood evening! We are a group from _____ and we are here to conduct an interview on young entrepreneurs for our class.
Hi! Wow! Thanks for considering my company for your project. So what’s your first question for me?
Group: Okay. So as a business, what problems do you encounter in your store?
Well, first of all, I only have 2 sales ladies. The problem that I see that’s the most crucial as of now, is how they do their work.
Group: What is the significance of this problem?
It is when you miscalculate inventory, thus, having a difference …show more content…
in the cash in and cash out.
Group: Are there different perceptions of the problem? If yes, what would they be?
Yes, definitely. The different people involved in the business.
Group: What is the impact of these perceptions to the problem?
Better means of communication
Group: Who is most affected by the problem?
The owner (me). Since I decide for the company.
-------------------
Group: What is your leadership style?
Supportive. I am very lenient with my employees since I’m only starting with this business. However, they tend to be abusive of this.
------------------
Group: What is the history of the problem and your attempted solutions?
Since we are not wholesalers, there’s always a need for new stocks. Since my sister and I design all of the clothes, we need new ideas all the time. Because of this, the inventory is not properly managed because we do not have time. Attempted solutions would be the strict implementation of inventory count and new stocks right after production. The inventory would be counted once when it reaches me, two counts by the sales ladies, and two to three counts when it reaches the store.
Group: What are the factors which perpetuate/block the problem? Counting the inventory a lot of times is a waste of time since I am also studying (in UAP) and I have a lot of other activities (Frisbee, Futsal, and Bible Study), but it’s better so that we would be more organized and it would lessen the problem. I just need proper time management.
Group: What is the role of
media?
Media gives us the advertising that we need, especially the youth. I also need to follow the trends. I need to be up to date when it’s not the mainstream.
Group: Who are the opinion makers and how do they shape the problem?
Of course, the customers, since they want new designs and request existing designs to be made. (personal preference)
Group: Who has vested interest in solving the problem and/or blocking progress?
Still the customers. The company values them greatly.
------------------
Group: Who are the stakeholders and actors?
Since it’s sole proprietorship, there are no stakeholders.
Group: Who is the leader in the experience? How did he/she get involved?
The owner. I am the owner that’s why I really have to be involved.
Group: What is your attitude towards the problems?
I have to face problems positively and calmly and learn from previous experiences.
Group: What is your appreciation of the issue?
Experiences would help me in the future, especially in other businesses I plan to venture in.
--------------------
Group: What is your vision of a just and equal society?
A right of self-expression is okay as long as you don’t hurt and it doesnt affect other people
Group: How did your role of a leader develop over time?
By being mature with everything
Group: Your base of leadership?
Informal.
Group: What were the turning points in your leadership style?
Nothing major yet since I have a new company.
Group: What is your role in terms of strategy development?
Implementation and decision making. I apply what I learn in school such as the PLOC.
Group: How did you get various groups to work together?
There are no groups since I am the only one handling my business. It is not a big business. etc etc
