In my perspective America chose the right decision by dropping the bomb. But as a coin this topic has other side too which is equally important. America could have taken some other steps too such as to modify unconditional surrender and d allowing the Japanese to remain an imperial dynasty with an Emperor, the other alternative that could have been taken was to delay the bombing and the final alternative America could have take to win over Japan was by isolation, destroying their sea and air forces or by doing blockade. Even though these steps could have been taken it was not a right decision to do as the war would just be much bloodier. The one who served the war truly appreciated the decision and knew what it meant to be back alive from that brutal fight. Japanese started the fight so they should have also thought about the consequences. No more American should have been killed so ending the war was really
