Saint John Baptist de La Salle was known for being a risk-taker, innovator, servant-leader and a mentor. He gave up his wealth for service and salvation. As a result, he and his brothers were able to create a network of schools worldwide. De La Salle University Graduate School of Business aims to teach management practice where faith, human development and service are integrated. I am a Lasallian all throughout my adult years. I spent most my college years (as well as high school) working for organizations wherein service is an important part of their mission and vision.

I was born into a family who pretty much lived their lives in service to others. My great grandmother and grandfather were mayors of Tibiao, Antique, Iloilo province. My uncles were former mayors too. Every time I visit the town, people always tell me how great they were and how passionate they were as leaders. I always hear stories on how they made a difference in that small town.

Tibiao Bakery, Inc. was first established at the town of Tibiao, Antique, Iloilo Province in 1952. The company expanded its operations to Iloilo City in 1982. Existing for 62 years, it is now one of the oldest bakeries in the area. Tibiao Bakery, Inc. is known for its quality and affordable products. It is the company’s mission to cater to both high-income and low-income earners.
As a Lasallian business leader, I value community and service. Just like St. La Salle, I am servant-leader, risk-taker and innovator. My dad (with the help of my mom) and uncle manage the company. When I was a kid, I used to play in the office and run around in the factory. I saw how my parents operate. I witnessed their daily routine.
Why does my family do this willingly? It is because of love. Their love for God and
