1933, Germany had been ruled by Adolf Hitler and his political party, the Nazis. He abolished democracy, and was a dictator. They wanted to take revenge for Germany’s defeat in the Great War by expanding Germany’s empire. In 1939 World War II began. Although the war began with Nazi Germany's attack on Poland in September 1939, the United States did not enter the war until after the Japanese bombed the American in Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, on December 7 of 1941. President Franklin Roosevelt worked hard to prepare soldiers and Americans for war. He induced Congress to nullify the arms embargo provisions of the neutrality law so that arms could be sold Britain and France. The United States military forces planned and led the attack against the Nazis in Europe. This contributed to the victory of the Allied forces.

His religion played an important role in WWII. Religion became the government’s property. Once in power Adolf Hitler turned Germany into a fascist state. Fascist was used to describe the government Mussolini in Italy. In July 1921, Hitler became the leader of the Nationalist Socialist German Workers organization. All political organizations were either banned or under the control of the Nazis. Hitler created the Holocaust in 1933 when they gained power in Germany. He believed that Germans were racially superior and that the Jews were inferior. During the Holocaust, Nazis targeted other groups like the Gypsies, the disabled, communists, socialists, Jehovah's Witnesses, and homosexuals. The National Socialist government also established concentration camps for the people that had opposing views. Under Hitler’s leadership, some 6 million Jews were murdered during World War II. Hitler also destroyed the Treaty of Versailles and the war expanded, the Nazi Party formed alliances with Japan and Italy. After the United States entered the war in 1941, Germany found itself fighting in North Africa, Italy, France, the Balkans and in a counterattacking Soviet Union. Then Pearl Harbor happened on December 7th of 1941.This attack was a social issue that lead the United States to World War II.
The Japanese airplanes made a surprise attack on the US Navy. Japanese destroyed many ships and they also killed many U.S soldiers. Thousands of Americans soldiers died in the attack, and the others were wounded. So it basically forced the United States to enter World War II. One day after December 7th President Franklin D. Roosevelt declares war on Japan. Pearl Harbor is located in Hawaii on an island. Hawaii is located in the Pacific Ocean between California and Japan. The bombers dropped bombs and torpedoes on the war ships, while the fighter planes attacked the US fighter planes on the ground so they could not take off and fight back. US ships were destroyed. After President Roosevelt declared war Japanese allies Germany and Italy and also declared war on the United States. The United States was particularly unhappy with Japan’s declaring war towards China. Besides, nobody believed it because Hawaii was too close from

For the United States, World War II and the Great Depression formed the most important economic event. The war ended the depression. The federal government regulated economic activity and controlled the economy through consumption. American industry increased by the war in matters of technology. The war’s rapid scientific and technological changes continued and created many scientists, engineers, etc. President Franklin Roosevelt promised a New Deal benefit and reconstruct America. Roosevelt’s New Deal decreased the Great Depression; however he did not end the economic crisis. When in World War II Germany invaded Poland, many people believed that the United States was still in depression. The Great Depression created unemployment which impacted the country. But, President Roosevelt never gave up and he created a number of agencies, established a new mobilization agency, created war bonds, aircraft production and a labor union.
