People often forget that competition does not always mean children/adults battling it out to see who's first or 'the best', it should also include self-competition. Self-competition is a great motivator too, children and adults want to succeed.
Providing the opportunity for competition allows for progression. In life we learn from our mistakes, losing is not necessarily a mistake but we can learn from it. Competition also allows an adult or child that they might not always win, or that they might not always be first, everyone has they're strengths and weaknesses.
Life is Competition
All resources are scarce, save (perhaps) for the air we breathe -- though there are those who would say that even air is scarce. Competition teaches kids how to work for results. In life there are winners and losers, and both cases can become generational. In a free society, we are expected (and it is our responsibility) to provide for ourselves. Given that resources are scarce, and given that we are free to rise or fall on our own, it is imperative that kids learn how to compete. Lest they learn to be losers.
I think competition is learning itself and a way of life.
I think Competition is life it self.for every successful man compete before actualising their dream.so there is no geting or running our from it.for every thing you do u must compete.it is nt jst necessary in the learning process, but it is learning it self.competition is a very good motivational factor since motivation is a fire from within.if someone else tries to light that fire under u,chances are it wil burn very briefly.there i think competition is what that build a man to any level of life.in schools competition is d key component of learning and learning itself.in a mans life it is life itself.there is no running away from it.
