Hoki Lunchroom Observation
Observation I visited Hoki Poki on Monday at 12:00 p.m. during lunch hour. When I got there I noticed there were people sitting down and others in line waiting to order. From what I was able to observe I noticed that the majority of people were workers and only a few seemed to be students. Throughout my observation, I noticed there was a steady volume of people coming in and it began to slow down as it got closer to 1. The majority of people that came during lunch hour got to-go plates and the ones that ate their meal there spent roughly 20-30 minutes there. Almost everyone that came in ordered the regular poke bowl and only one person ordered a burrito, which is similar to a California roll. Aside from their bowls and burritos, Hoki Poki offers Boba tea, hot tea, seaweed paper, spam musubi, and miso soup. However, I did not see anyone order any of these items. I did notice that their prices are a bit high for the portions they serve. Although compared to similar restaurants in the Dallas area, Hoki Poki’s prices are lower. …show more content…
However, places that are study spots often offer Wi-Fi and Hoki Poki does not. Perhaps if Wi-Fi was offered the restaurant would see an increase in student volume. Additionally, people like to accompany their study sessions with either tea or coffee and even though the restaurant offers hot and cold teas their placement on the menu is barely noticeable. When I ordered my meal I completely missed the additional food items because they were too far off to the corner. According to their website, they also offer fruit smoothies but I did not see them listed anywhere on the

First off, the food has been amazing every time I have been there. This time I ate the chicken critters (tenders) with steak fries and green beans and it was very delicious. We didn’t wait maybe ten minutes from getting our appetizer and we already had our entrée. To me that is an excellent waiting time considering it was fresh food. Also the price is very understandable considering the amount of food I got. Overall I would rate the food a ten, it was amazing and always has been.…

Children can also benefit from healthy juicing drinks. However, it can be difficult to get them to drink vegetables. Add some favorite fruits to the juicer so that it will appeal to the kids in the house as well. Watermelon, bananas, and a variety of berries will sweeten the juice and will usually make it more appealing to children. It's a good idea to let the little ones watch you toss their favorite fruits into the machine. This can make them more likely to drink…

Open campus lunch is a controversial topic that can often be “swept under the rug” so to speak. Schools often have closed campus lunch because an open campus lunch runs the risk of after lunch truancies, but there are many benefits to open campus lunch they may not realize. More money in Montgomery County, more places to eat, and longer lunch periods, are a few reasons why open campus lunch would be a better alternative.…

Threat of New Entrants: When Apple first began in the early 1980’s, the threat of new entrants was significant. PCs were a relatively new commodity with little distinction, few competitors, and no government regulation, and although initial R&D was complex, assembly was simple. Unsurprisingly, new firms emerged quickly and forced Apple to differentiate its product over time. This push continued through the years, and ultimately, Apple was forced to create more innovative, unique, and quality products—a dynamic favorable to both Apple and the industry. At the same time, the industry’s dominant players were becoming established, reducing the threat of new entrants and solidifying Apple’s position.…
