Political factors
This factor refers to the government policy for intervention in the economy and legal aspects on the impact of business decision making. Our core value including excellent customer service, building strong relationships, respect for all people, doing the right thing, giving back and taking care of our people etc. Therefore, a Business Code of Conduct and Ethics (The code) that revised regarding interactions with government is set for our associates to help them make decision that align with company’s ethical expectations and legal obligations. A clear code can give guidance to associates how to serve customers correctly and at the same time do not violate to the law. Besides, Durbin Amendment which limit debit card swipe fee has benefit our business because it lower our cost. With lower operating costs, it allows us to reinvest in the business to lower prices. So, the price of more than 3,000 products was lowered. It could attract customers to shop in our stores.
Economic factors
Economic factors include economic growth, interest rates, exchange rates and the inflation rate. That is, government policy on cost of doing business. The home improvement retail industry is highly cyclical. Therefore, our sales highly influenced by economic factors.

Home Depot has a branch called Home Depot Foundation that does things for veterans, through this programs they have organize with many non-profit organizations and build or customize homes for veterans, wounded warriors and their families so that they are not without .
