Individuals who are homeless are forced to be out in the cold below zero temperatures, in the hot desert weather, and in the pouring rain. How can we not feel for the poor people living in these conditions? We are in a Catholic High School, and we are taught with Catholic morals. In Proverbs 19:17, it states: “Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.” We must be helpful towards the needy with our time. Do you not wonder how they are out in this frigid weather? I bet they are cold, with no place to go, because the funds for the homeless shelters are limited so they could not afford to have all the homeless there.
That being said, we should help raise money for the homeless people, so they could open more shelters. Not many homeless people survive these unbearable snow storms, and end up either dead or in a critical state. By helping them, we can not only save many lives, but we can also complete our mission as good Samaritans. How wonderful would you feel to have known you helped feed and shelter many people? You can help by fundraising money or by just asking adults around your neighborhood; inform them about the cause so they can help too! It’s the little steps that you do, that can help make many people’s lives better.
Can you imagine going to bed hungry because there was nothing in your fridge
