She was sitting there scratching her body most of the time and keeps repeating that" I cannot handle this" I was active listener I did not underestimated or minimize the problem, and I did not interrupt her while she was talking. Client is in a dilemma, client and her father about to put out of home, I see that she needs an immediate help. But unfortunate, the agency was out of fund at that time and also one of the agency roles is that they don’t serve anyone unless they are literally homeless. The meaning of literally homeless is when someone sleeping in a place that not meant for human habitation. However, according to her situation she is under the people who at risk to be homeless and the agency does not serve this population. However, it is important as a social worker to be honest that to be nice (ethical dilemma), so I did not promise her something I can’t keep.
