Homeroom Observation Report
In a cold winter in Duluth, Minnesota, there lives a family of a mom, dad, and four kids. They live near Caribou Lake in a modern two story house. The four kids’ names are Sara, who is 15, James who is 12, Kate who is 7, and Jackson, who is 9. Sara is a teen who can be a little bit sassy sometimes. She usually hangs out with her friends a lot and is a straight B student. Her parents try to get her to focus on her homework a little bit more but she doesn’t really care. She would much rather hang out with friends. Sara has dark brown bouncy and curly hair. She is taller than her mom who is around 5’4” Moving on to James, who is a kind boy and always gets straight A’s and A+’s. He is shorter than his mom. James is around 5’2”. He has light brown

Meanwhile, Jackson is has his classes with different people. Some with his friends some not. Kate just goes to classes as a homeroom so her friends are in all of her classes except for Carly who isn’t in her homeroom. Sara has mixed classes in high school because, well, it’s high school so everyone is all mixed up into different classes. About a forty minutes later the kids rushed to their next class. In James’ class, which is language arts, they have an assignment to write about their parents and what they like.
“Class, this assignment will be due on Wednesday so you should start working on it soon!” The teacher explained.
“Well this is a great assignment.” James whispered sarcastically to Jacob.
“Yeah you bet.” Jacob replied. They both silently laughed and then smiled. THen their focus came back to the teacher. Before they knew it class was over.
Later on the kids got back on the bus and rode back home. When they walked into the house the father was sitting at the kitchen table doing his work while the mom was sitting on the couch reading.
“How was school?” The mother asked all of them.
“Great! I only have math homework and it’s only six problems!” Kate
