Napoleon Bonaparte was a man with many characters. He was selfish, cruel, and he would not let anything or anyone get in his way. Napoleon was born on August 15, 1769 in a little island called Corsica. He was the fourth child in the family. Corsica was later transferred to France, as a young boy napoleon went to a military school in France. He did not speak French as well as the others; he would always feel as an outsider, he did not have friends at all. After military school he wanted all the power to himself. He became the commander of the French army in 1796. He led France to many victories, but lied about many others In order to keep his popularity high. Citizens of France taught he was the bravest for shooting the artillery shot into the crowd, killing one thousand four hundred royalties. On December 1804 he named himself first emperor of France and one year later he crowned himself king of Italy. He changes many laws for the citizens of France. Before he came to the throne women had their own rights, but Napoleon decreases their rights, he gave men right to control the house and the women were supposed to listened to them and do as their husband say. Napoleon left his troops alone in Russia during a cold and freezing winter. Napoleon killed his own men when he did not have enough food for them to eat. Each time things get hard he left his troops and went back to France. For some people to them Napoleon Bonaparte was hero, but all that napoleon was a tyrant, from the moment he crowned himself.
