A fishing trip that would allow you to catch a variety of fish while providing you with scenery unlike anything you would have ever seen before? Why Is Fishing Better On the Nature Coast of Florida?

The coastal area of Citrus County, Florida, which covers Homosassa and Crystal River is a popular place for fishing for many reasons. The main one is the variety of fish you can catch and the area you will be in to fish. It is ideal for offshore and

This could be due to them moving north during the summer months and south during the summer or regulations that must be upheld to keep the waters populated with fish. However, most of the fish you will see if you stick to the inner coast will be trout, mackerel, reds, cobia, and tarpon. You can only catch some of these during specific fishing seasons.
According to the Homosassa fishing reports on the web, the trout and the redfish mostly come during the winter months. Sometimes you may also find Spanish mackerel and Bonitas making the trek to warmer waters as well. In a lot of areas, you will be able to see the bottom of the river that you are fishing in. Sometimes this may aid you in catching the types of fish that you are seeking.
If you are hoping to go a little offshore to fish, you will have more chance to catch grouper, snappers, and sharks. There are also other types of fish as well. However, it is important that you keep in mind that the water around Crystal River and Homosassa Springs does have areas where water drops slowly. In some areas you can expect to go a mile out and still only be in a foot of water. Ten miles out could mean you are sitting in ten feet of water. Twenty miles, twenty feet. The deeper you go into the Gulf, the more likely you will be to catch the biggest fish you have ever brought onto your

Most feel that they must have access to a privately owned boat before they take advantage of the beautiful waters of the Gulf. This is not true. If you want to go on a Crystal River fishing adventure, there are many options for you to consider. You do not have to personally know someone who has a boat that you can use, if you want to fish near the shore.
There are fishing guides all over the Crystal River and Homosassa River areas who would be happy to take you out fishing for just a small fee. Both the Crystal River fishing charters and the Homosassa fishing charters are available pretty much year round. They venture into different areas. They may fish for certain types of fish. They may offer the equipment that you will need to catch the fish you are seeking. Some may even offer other amenities for taking a trip with one of their boats.
This is a lot of times a better option for anyone visiting the nature coast area because you can truly learn a lot about the types of fish, the ways to find them, and in general explore the area with a guide there to tell you everything you should know. Are you ready to book your adventure and make your next fishing trip

Everything from Pompano, Snook, Flounder, Lady Fish and Catfish, to the many different types of Snappers are caught easily throughout the day. We have found that in many places you can pull Snappers up one right after another just before the sun goes down. If you have your fire going they make an easy, delicious dinner on the grill, just bring a little aluminum foil and your all set! Another one of the great attractions to kayaking on the Indian River Lagoon is the abundance of wildlife in the area. It is not out of the ordinary to see a pod of dolphins swimming by. Each time they surface they blow air through their blow hole, which can be pretty startling if you weren't aware they were so close. It is quite the sight when they surface near you as you are paddling along, especially because you are at water level with them and they are such impressively large animals. In the winter time, which has perfect weather for kayaking in Florida, there a lot of manatee in the area too. Huge and awesome they look a little intimidating but they are very docile and curious, coming right up to your kayak to get a good look at you. There are also many sting rays in the area along with gigantic sea turtles, we have spotted some at least five foot across, with a head that is bigger than a…

The Florida rig is an advancement over the toothpick-pegging method, Florida rig sinkers are molded around a thin Teflon tube, and a corkscrew wire that screws into the nose of a soft bait. Slip the sinker on the main line, tie the hook directly to the main line, and screw it into the bait. This provides the ultimate bait for a weedless and snagless presentation for big bass in heavy cover (Chen). One bait that is great for really dense weeds under the water is this rig because it seems to glide right through the weeds and not snagging anything which can be a huge advantage to the fisherman for getting in right in close with the bass. The Florida and Carolina rig both use soft baits, but the Lipless Crankbait is quite a bit different than those…
