I’ve been involved in many different kinds of activities from Tae Kwon Do (a Korean martial art) to cross-country and volleyball to guitar and choir. The only one of those activities I am currently involved in, however, is guitar. I had quit those other activities after I had lost interest in them. But guitar is in activity that has helped me in many different ways. It has pushed me to learn to decipher notes by ear, change the way songs are played to make them easier for me, and taught me the importance of practice. I’m a very quick learner. If I struggle with getting a technique down the first few times, I quickly adapt to find a way to make it work for me (I do this quite often in my guitar class). I’m a very passionate person when I believe in something strongly enough, I will defend my opinion and try to get others to see the situation in the same light that I do. I’m also a very creative and artistic person; I love art, drawing, and music. I may not necessarily be the best at drawing, singing or playing my guitar, but I love to do it anyway because it makes me happy, especially when I can hear/see my improvement.
Being in Honor Society would be such an amazing opportunity. I believe that I deserve to be in this group. I am qualified and willing to work as hard as I have to. I think that Honor Society will be a great way to help better
