Lived with my grandparents, my mother’s parents, my grandfather’s Elijah, who all called The Patriarch. My grandmother’s Miriam and we called her Nanou.
In the 4th district of Paris, one block from the Rue du rosier in the Jewish quarter of Paris; Rue Francs Bourgeois it’s located our apartment. The apartment in an ancient building, with the advantage that the pieces were larger also bigger windows through which sunlight entering almost all day.

The family was Aunt Madelaine, her husband and two daughters and a son, Huguette the oldest daughter 16 and Rose 14 and a seven-year boy; Roberto.
Aunt Sarah’s sisters lived rue de Turennes near my aunt’s house, not far from our apartment.
My cousins of Geneva were a little older than myself and of course for them the perfect play companion and victim of his jokes. My brother Jacob only six years and is not the right person for their games, since Mom protected him. They couldn’t play with my cousin Moses, who already thought to be a man and not liked the children jokes. Much less with my younger sister Leah, since she’s a two-year baby.
We spent wonderful days. Lunch and visits the zoo in the Bois de Vincennes, followed by meetings full of anecdote's stories which I loved hearing, congregated in the living room of our apartment on Rue Francs Bourgeois. A few of those evenings my grandmother Nanou, played the piano traditional Russian songs.
