Hitler was wounded in the battle Somme that would sideline him for a time, but he eventually made his return to the front. The tide of the war eventually shifted and Germany fell. The official surrender took place in 1918 and the war was over. This didn’t sit well with Adolf as he began his dislike for the Jews and followers of Marxism or Marxists.
After the war, Hitler continued to move up in the ranks of the military and joined the National German Socialist party. Years passed and he eventually became the leader of the party with aspirations to lead it to rule in Germany. His actions of rebellion got him sent to prison for a year with being charged for treason. During this year, Hitler’s famous plan to transform German society in Mein Kampf, was constructed. Once out of prison, he continued to rise to power through legal means.
Adolf Hitler became leader of Germany in 1933 when the Nazi party became the only legitimate political party in country. It was the perfect storm as the country was in poor condition and in an economic depression due to the Great War. The definition of a demagogue is someone who exploits both negative emotions, such as fear and ignorance, and understanding to promote his own ideology. Hitler was a perfect example of a demagogue and it might explain how he took power, along with the condition the country was
