Every complex civilization has a well organized government.The Ancient Egyptian government was heavily influenced by religion.
Pharaoh's jobs were to create laws and rules, but they didn't only do that and also chose what gods they had to worship.The Egyptians thought that the Pharaoh was thought to be part god, so the Pharaoh had to communicate to the gods and depending where the town was then that is what god they had to honor.
I most laws when you break a law then your whole family will be punished. The Egyptians did this because they thought that if you and your family got punished then you were more likely to not commit a crime again.

Different people had different opinions on slavery in Egypt because slavery was different in different countries. Slaves had a duty of doing whatever the slave's master had set out for him or her. Slaves were most commonly gotten by prisoners of war or bought from slave merchants. War prisoners and people of debt but could not pay were sometimes released after some time. People would become slaves because they are in debt or sell themselves to get out of poverty. The Vizier had the power to force someone into slavery if they had done a certain crime. During the New Kingdom, the Pharaohs of the time created a law of foreign involvement meaning that if you could catch someone from a different country then they will become your slave. The Egyptians traded with people from countries near them. The southern parts of Egypt like Nubia had mines that were very rich in gold and mineral deposits. The southern parts of Egypt were also had easy access to materials such as building stones, ebony, ostrich feathers, and livestock mostly cattle. Egyptians traded very well with neighboring civilizations. Sinai was one of the greatest places to mine for copper and gemstones at the time.

Imported goods are normally raw materials and things like luxury items in high society. Example: Horses cows, cedar wood, silver, copper, and other valuable minerals imported from Syria and Palestine.
