How Did Benjamin Franklin Use Electricity

Electricity, what a wonderful advancement that was invented throughout history. If there wasn't electricity we wouldn't be able to power our cars, turn on our stoves, plug our phone chargers into the wall socket or even be able to turn on our artificial light when it's dark outdoors. Electricity has made a huge impact on our lives. Most people don't realize how different the world would be if Benjamin Franklin never started his kite and key experiment. The world may have never evolved into the world we live in today.

How did the idea of electricity come up? That is a question a lot of people wonder. Benjamin Franklin was around the age of 46 when he began his electricity experimentation. One experiment included his kite and key experiment which took place in June of 1752. Benjamin let a kite fly while there was lighting outside. The kite was connected to a key, so when the lightning struck the kite Benjamin brought his hand towards the key, in which produced a shock of an electrical force.
In fact, In 1831, a scientist named Micheal Faraday discovered a way to conduct an electrical current through a wire. This discovery was called the basic principles of electrical generation. Thomas Edison also did several experiments that later led to the invention of the Light Bulb in 1879. He made it possible for people to use the artificial light by 1880.
