How Did Bill Gates Change The World
William Henry Gates the third was born on October 28th, 1955, Seattle Washington. His parents were William H. Gates, Sr. and Mary Maxwell Gates. Gates is an investor, computer programmer, and inventor. Gates dropped out of college and co-founded a company in 1976, called Microsoft with his good friend Paul Allen. This company later became the largest PC software company on earth. Gates had many positions during his career at Microsoft. He was CEO, chairman, and chief software architect.
Microsoft had a big break in 1980 when the company IBM came up to them for a new operating system for all of the new computers. Microsoft became one of the main software manufacturing companies, just as the market for personal computers started to rise. This is what Gates had been predicting what would happen, that every home would have a computer per household. Since Microsoft had no competitions with any other company when it first launched, no one has come near to over running Microsoft. Microsoft released the first version of Windows in 1990.
