Charles Robert Darwin was born on February 12, 1809 and he died April 19, 1882. Darwin was best known for his contributions to the evolutionary theory, it has been said that no one has influenced our knowledge of life on Earth as much as Charles Darwin did. He published his theory of evolution in his book in 1859, it was titled; On the Origin of Species. Throughout the years it has overcome scientific rejection and is still taught in some places. What started all the statistics talk was when Charles Darwin grew the toadflax, a flower for experiments. Darwin cross-fertilized some toadflax’s’ and self-fertilized others and when he grew them, he found that the hybrids were stronger and bigger than the purebred toadflaxes. He did the same experiment, when he let them grow he measured their heights, it turns out that the hybrids were taller than the purebred
