George W. Bush was the 43rd president of the United States. His term was from 2001 to 2009. Before becoming president George W. Bush was the 46th Governor of Texas. His term was from 1995 to 2000. He did many great things for the state of Texas. He pushed forward the tort reform, prioritized in funding education and made it to high standards, he also changed the criminal justice system. He also helped Texas be a leading producer in wind and powered electricity.
During his two terms Bush prioritized his economic policies. Because of the recession Bush started out his presidency with tax cuts. He made many tax cuts that help the country lift itself out of the recession. For businesses he proposed the JGTRRA, which helped them out of the recession depts. Bush does think that the government should have a strong regulation involving businesses. He thinks the government is there to help businesses grow expand and help them provide jobs. …show more content…
Bush stands on with a pro-life position, and goes against abortion, and supports the parental consent of a child trying to get an abortion. Bush is also against gay marriage, but agrees with an idea of a civil union on state level. He also agrees on a voluntary prayer for students in schools, but acknowledge the fact that the people have the right for freedom of religion. Bush believes in equality, and freedom. He supports all minority groups, and their dreams. He thinks we are all equal, and doesn’t care about ethnicity.
During his campaign he encountered a major issue. He launched a television advertisement that showed videos of the 9/11 attacks. Viewers and supporters quickly reacted by saying that he used the memory of those who died for the upbringing of his
