How Did Goebbels Influence Hitler

In March 1923 Joseph Goebbels became the leader of the Reich Ministry of Propaganda (RNVP) and is one of the most important and influential people in Nazi Germany. One of the reasons being is his organization of Kristallnacht. In contrast to Goebbels, Heinrich Himmler was also one of the most influential Nazis. Himmler became leader of the SS in 1929 and his hard work and dedication to Hitler led him to become chief of German police in 1936, therefore he was both in charge of the SS and the Gestapo. His power further advanced by managing the concentration camps and having total power over the Holocaust. These two Nazis played major roles in Nazi Germany but one may be curious as to who was the most influential.

Goebbels and Hitler shared common beliefs such as Anti-Semitism; the manner in which Goebbels decided to portray Hitler shows the close relationship between the two. In comparison, Himmler was the Reichführer of the SS and Hitler’s bodyguard, which means that Himmler and Hitler spent a lot of time together, thus meaning that they had a strong bond. Himmler was also infatuated with the idea of the Aryan race. Therefore both have proved to have had good relationships with Hitler.

The use of
Himmler himself stated “To have to shoot one’s own comrades, with whom one had stood side by side for eight or ten years in the struggle for an ideal, and who then failed, is the bitterest thing that can happen to a man”. This statement confirms that the people of Germany should’ve been afraid of Himmler and what he was capable of. Himmler was leader of the SS, who were made up of Aryans who were highly trained and loyal to Hitler. Himmler’s use of fear was mainly used through the Gestapo, who were immensely feared by the Germans as they had masses of
