John Pemberton, an Atlanta pharmacist, was the one who found the most popular product on the world. First, he stirred up a fragrant, caramel-colored liquid and then he carried it a few doors down to Jacobs' Pharmacy. Then he combined the mixture with carbonated water and then he offered the beverage to customers and the customers loved the samples. Later Jacobs' Pharmacy started selling this drink for five cents a glass.
Pemberton's bookkeeper, Frank Robinson, was the one who named the mixture Coca-Cola®, and wrote it out in his distinct script. Even today, Coca-Cola is written the same way. In the first year, Pemberton was just able to sell 9 glasses of Coca-Cola a day.
