Julius Caesar changed the world by reforming the calendar, the conquering of Gaul and reconstructing the Roman Empire to its once great glory again, and by capturing and setting up modern civilizations that had new political and social systems new to that time.
JULIUS CAESAR Julius caesar was born in 100BC into a wealthy family which jump started his career in politics and the military. Because he was born into a noble family he became a commander in the army like most young noble men. This is where he found his dislike in the Roman system and way of running things, this is also where he found his two allies and friends that would help thrust him into gaining power.(Ushistory)
THE CALENDAR
One of the first things that Julius Caesar did and the thing that most people probably know him for is reforming the old calendar into the new Julian calendar that we still use today. Originally the calendar was based solely on war and agriculture. There were three months of war and one which you wouldn't fight in because it was too cold so they used it as a time to rebuild. He renamed most of the month after Roman gods. March comes from Mars the god of …show more content…

CHANGING THE ROMAN EMPIRE Julius Caesar changed the course of history for the Roman world so much that it was irreversible.
The first thing he did was replace the old roman oligarchy with a new autocracy. He also changed the social and political systems of all of Europe, completely redrawing the political and social maps of Europe and East Asia. The next thing that he did which took up most of his time during his reign of power, was started and finish a war campaign that would result in him taking over all of Gaul from 58-50 BC once he took it after he forced it under Roman rule for over 15 years. During those 15 years there was constant tension between Rome and its people. While he was fighting the war he wrote books about his accomplishments to further his reach for supreme ruler as
dictator..(Ushistory)
During 49-45 BC while he was finishing his war campaign in Gaul, he was fighting in a civil war that broke out back in Italy. He was fighting one of his old friends Pompey over Rome and Julius was the superior one who won victory after victory eventually driving Pompey to retreat to Egypt. While Pompey was in Egypt the Egyptian ruler at the time didn't want war between Egypt and Rome so he found Pompey and had him beheaded and gave the head to Julius as a gift. Upon Julius sees this he immediately captured the Egyptian city of Alexandria and executed the king and gave power to Cleopatra whom he had a child with. After he won the civil war and returned to Rome, he made himself supreme dictator of Rome forever changing the history of it. During his ruling he added France and Belgium to the Roman Empire. During his last couple years as dictator he tried rebuilding as much of the old Rome as he could, that his predecessors had destroyed, like the two great cities of Carthage and Corinth which weren't back in Roman control for over 150 years.(Ushistory.org)
CHANGING THE WORLD
Here is how he has changed the world today. He changed the whole world, including the political systems we use today. He laid down a law giving freedom to immigrants in the country, this was the first known act of amnesty, which many countries, including the United States use today to grant freedom to their illegal immigrants. And in 45 BC he laid down a law that started and made the standard pattern for the constitutions of municipia. When he conquered Gaul in 50BC he subsequently set up a daughter civilization in Gaul for the whole western world.(Britannica)
So that is how Julius Caesar changed our world forever. From the changing of the calendar to completely taking over nations, he changed our history decisively and irreversibly. And that is how he changed history.
