How Did Sonny's Dream To Build Rockets
Sonny a boy who had a dream to build rockets, not matter what people told him what he could do he would do. He would build rockets and do what he wanted for a dream. His father did all he could to keep his sonny from building rockets, but Sonny did it anyway.
His father put his rockets out in the rain, he forbid him from shooting rockets in town. Whatever his father threw at him to stop him Sonny would find away to keep his rockets flying. His Mother and Mrs.Riley and his friends were by him through all the disappointment from the town. The bullying at school did not keep him from flying rockets. When he first started flying rockets, everyone thought he was crazy. Did not think he could do it, they did not believe in him. He proved everyone

Sonny talked to his wife and she told him it was not his fault for his death. That her husband would love for Sonny to keep his rockets in the air and being built. Sonny did keep his rockets going.
He kept having lots of obstacles in the road of getting to his dream. When he went to the science fair, he did not think he was going to win. When his rocket stuff where stolen from the fair he did not give up then either. He called his mother and she got his father to get him his rocket stuff.
Sonny went through a lot throughout the book, but he did not give up on his dream. He kept his dream in front of him and did not let anyone stand in his way.
Sonny rocket building dream and his dream to work with Von Braun, to get as far as he did he did have lots of obstacles in the road to get where he wanted to be in life. He did make it in the end, he got to build rockets for NASA and not work with Von Braun but he did get to work where he worked. He also got to work with the people who did get to work with Von Braun.
No one understood Sonny's dream to build rockets but his friends and his mom, but nothing also stood in his way, or no one stood in his way. He did what he knew he wanted to so and he did not let anyone hold him back not for one

    After they died nobody really knew what to do with Sonny. His parents were gone and his brother was still enlisted in the army. Sonny was forced to live with his brother’s girlfriend’s family.     Two major themes throughout the story are drug abuse, what got Sonny locked up in the first place, and brotherhood. When the narrator finds out that Sonny is in prison due to the abuse of drugs, he says, "Look. I haven't seen Sonny for over a year, I'm not sure I'm going to do anything. Anyway, what the hell can I do?" (601) This shows that the narrator feels like there is nothing he can do anymore. The reader is able to understand that Sonny loves his brother, but does not understand his life choices.
