How Did The British Colonial Rule Affect Kenya
British Colonial rule destroyed Kenya’s traditional culture.
Colonialism occurs when one nation takes control of another. This is exactly what the British did to the Africans. Even though the British created a developed civilization with many aspects they brought to Kenya, they affected the Africans politically, economically, socially, and culturally. The British colonization of Kenya destroyed the culture of the native people, but it established a democratic government and left Kenya a more modernized country. With this being said, Kenya would not be the country it is today if it weren't for the British.
All through the continent of Africa, foreign occupation and involvement has always been a main point when analyzing the historical university

    In document 1 by Ndansi Kumalo who was the Ndebele chief in Rhodesia 1890’s told people who were interested in learning about life under European rule how the British mistreated people. They attacked them, raped their wives and daughters, took their cattle and goat without their consent and treated them like slaves.     Imperialism brought change and positive effects to Africa. The British introduced new Ideas in forms of transportation, technology, health care, and schools this greatly benefited the African. The technology that the British brought to Africa was trains that can make trade easier, steamboats to help transport goods, dams that stopped flowing water. The telephone was another wonderful peace of technology that was introduced. The telephone helped with commutation all throughout Africa.
