…..It was only a week remaining we had a history assessment about the industrial revolution.The only advantage we had was that we had a time machine, the school principle had announced that if we do not pass the History assessment we would not go to the trip to Rio ,Brazil……..
Back in time to find answers about the Industrial revolution
In the centre of the town with some farms in it, there was a big church.We started roaming around, we found some few farmers, ’you lads do not look like you are from around here’ one of the farmers asked. He invited us to his house and gave us some weird clothes,’ I do not mean to be rude but which year is this and where are we? I asked. He said that we are in Yorkshire, England in 1760, as soon as he said that we knew that we were in the wrong place. We decided to have a look at Britain in the past. Things were totally different, most people were working inside, less people were outside.’ I want to go home ? Jermaine said. The population of Britain in 1760 was about 675,000, people were not as much as they are today.A number of factors contributed to Britain’s role as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.Britain had 1.8% of world population,This is the year that industrial revolution was born.
Before industrial revolution
Cottage industries were the main industries before industrial revolution.People were working at home weaving.Before the Industrial Revolution, most people stayed in small, rural communities where they did their daily work of weaving and farming
