The Jim Crow Laws were made to segregate the whites and colored people. Colored people weren’t treated the same whites based on these laws passed in the southern states. Lots of people went to jail or even killed. People couldn’t go to the same bathroom as whites, or even use the same entrance as the whites. Some blacks were servants for whites, and whites would use other names for colored people that weren't nice. Whites believe the black were cursed and chosen to be servants for the whites. And blacks weren't humans beings and they were not made to be as smart as whites.
