The industrial revolution transformed the world in many ways. With the discovery of raw materials such as coal used to fuel the steam engine and the mechanized of industry, people were able to move away from agriculture and lives were forever changed. During this time, a number of great inventions and technological breakthroughs were discovered. One was the invention of the Morse code created by Samuel Morse in the 1830s. While the invention impacted the world in a number of ways, two of the most important impacts it had were in the social and economic realm. Socially it impacted the world by communication to other people without traveling long distances to communicate. Economically it changed how the society was with communication and helping out with trades with other countries and states. And the effects were not limited to that time, but have changed things in these areas for ages to come.
